The design and implementation of espoirkids.gr was a project with a clear goal: the creation of a modern, reliable and easy-to-use online store for children’s goods, which is fully functional for everyone, including people with disabilities.
From the very beginning, the approach was based on the philosophy that an e-shop should not just “look pretty”, but also function properly, quickly and without obstacles for every visitor.

Creating EspoirKids
The creation of EspoirKids was based on a clear philosophy: the development of a modern online children’s goods store that is not limited to aesthetics alone, but places substantial emphasis on functionality, user experience and universal accessibility. From the early stages of design, the goal was to create an e-shop that could serve all users equally, without barriers and without unnecessary complexity.
The e-shop structure was designed with clear navigation and a simplified shopping process in mind. Product categories, filters and presentation pages were organized in a way that allows the visitor to immediately find what they are looking for, reducing the steps until the purchase is completed. Particular attention was paid to the correct display of products, variations, sizes and additional options, so that each product is presented in a clear and understandable way.
The integration of accessibility practices (Disability) played a central role in the project. EspoirKids was implemented with the aim of being easily usable by people with different needs, both in terms of navigation and overall interaction with the content. The structure of the pages, the color contrasts, the readability and the coherence of the experience were designed so that the eshop is friendly, understandable and functional for everyone.
On a technical level, the project was based on WordPress and WooCommerce, with full customization to meet the needs of a modern online store. The use of a custom child theme ensures stability and flexibility, allowing future expansions without restrictions. The design of the pages was carried out with Elementor, allowing the creation of custom layouts that combine aesthetics, speed and proper user experience.
High Performance & SEO
Performance and loading speed were key considerations during the implementation of EspoirKids. The e-shop was designed to offer a fast and smooth browsing experience on all devices, with proper image and resource management, ensuring stable operation even with increased traffic. At the same time, a proper SEO structure was implemented at the content and technical implementation level, laying the foundation for organic growth and better visibility in search results, without affecting the user experience.
Mobile First Design
The design of EspoirKids was implemented with a mobile first logic, prioritizing use on mobile devices. The structure, layouts and key interaction points were designed to offer comfortable navigation, quick access to products and a simplified shopping experience on small screens. The result is an e-shop that works seamlessly on smartphones and tablets, without compromising on speed, usability and aesthetics.
